How to play Hangman
Guess the hidden word one letter at a time. The clue tells you the theme (In the Garden, Baking Day, Travel and so on). Every letter you guess right is written into its blanks; every wrong guess adds a line to the drawing. Six wrong guesses and the drawing is complete.
- Tap a letter on the board, or press it on your keyboard. Letters you have tried are marked: green for a hit, gray for a miss.
- Start with the common letters (E, A, R, T, O, N, S) and use the clue: a four-letter word from the Kitchen is more likely OVEN than OBOE.
- Hint shows you a letter from the word. There is no time limit.
- When the word is found, or the drawing is complete, choose New word for another. The daily word is the same for everyone.
The words come from the themed lists in our word search, so they are everyday words, not trick spellings.

Questions
How many wrong guesses do I get?
Six. Each wrong guess adds a part to the drawing: the head, the body, two arms and two legs. The clue above the word tells you the theme, which narrows it down a lot.
Where do the words come from?
From the themed lists in our word search: gardens, kitchens, the seaside, music, travel and more. Everyday words, with no trick spellings.
Is there a hint?
Yes. Hint reveals one letter of the word, the one that appears most often. It doesn't count as a wrong guess.
Is the daily word the same for everyone?
Yes. Everyone gets the same word on the same day, so you can compare notes with a friend.
