How to play Hearts
Hearts is for four players: you and three computer players. The aim is to take as few points as you can. Each heart is worth 1 point and the Queen of spades 13. When a player reaches 100, the game ends and the lowest score wins.
- Everyone gets 13 cards. Before each hand, pass three cards: to the left, then to the right, then across, then no passing, in turn.
- The player with the 2 of clubs leads it to start the first trick. Everyone plays one card, clockwise.
- Follow the suit that was led if you can. If you can't, play any card. The highest card of the led suit takes the trick, and its taker leads the next one.
- On the first trick, no one may play a heart or the Queen of spades unless they have nothing else.
- Hearts can't be led until a heart has been played, unless you have only hearts.
- Shooting the moon: if you take every heart and the Queen of spades in one hand, you score nothing and every other player gets 26.
- To pass, tap three cards, then the Pass button. To play, tap a card. Cards you can't play now are dimmed.

How do I win at Hearts?
Take as few points as you can. Each heart you take is 1 point and the Queen of spades is 13. When someone reaches 100, the player with the lowest score wins.
What is shooting the moon?
Taking all 13 hearts and the Queen of spades in one hand. Then you score nothing for that hand, and every other player gets 26.
Which cards can I play?
Follow the suit that was led if you can. On the first trick you can't play hearts or the Queen of spades unless that's all you have, and hearts can't be led until one has been played. Cards you can't play are dimmed, and tapping one tells you why.
Which way do I pass?
Three cards, to the left on the first hand, to the right on the second, across on the third, and no passing on the fourth. Then it starts again.
