How to play TriPeaks Solitaire
TriPeaks uses one deck. 28 cards are dealt in three overlapping peaks; only the bottom row starts face up. The other cards are the stock, with one turned up to start the waste. Clear all three peaks to win.
- Play any card that isn't covered onto the waste if it's one higher or one lower, in any suit: on a 7, a 6 or an 8.
- King and Ace count as next to each other. On a King you can play a Queen or an Ace; on an Ace, a King or a 2.
- A face-down card turns over once both cards covering it are gone.
- When nothing fits, tap the stock to turn up a new waste card. The stock goes through once.
- Long runs clear the peaks fastest: look for a card that lets you keep going.
- To play a card, tap it. You can drag it onto the waste instead.
Undo has no limit, and it can take back a card turned from the stock too.
Keyboard
Arrow keys move between the free cards and the stock. Enter or Space plays a card. D turns a card from the stock, H shows a hint, and Ctrl+Z undoes a move.
Questions
Which cards can I play?
Any card that isn't covered, if it's one higher or one lower than the card on the waste, in any suit. On a 7, play a 6 or an 8. King and Ace count as next to each other, so on a King you can play a Queen or an Ace.
What happens when the stock runs out?
The stock goes through once. When it's empty and no card can be played, the game is over. Undo takes moves back so you can try another way.
Can every deal be won?
Most can. When we tested 200 random deals with a computer solver that could see every card, it cleared 96%. You can't see the face-down cards, so you'll win fewer. Daily deals can all be won: the solver checks each one.
