How to print
- Press Print, or use your browser's Print command (Ctrl+P, or ⌘+P on a Mac). Only the puzzles print. The menus and this text stay on screen.
- Everything fits on one sheet of US Letter or A4 paper. Leave the scale at 100% (or "Default") for the biggest print.
- Write your letter in the box above each code letter. The alphabet at the bottom of the page is there to cross off letters as you use them.
- Choose New puzzles for a different set. Tick "Add an answer page" to print the answers on a separate sheet.

You may print and photocopy these puzzles as often as you like: for yourself, and for care homes, senior centers, libraries, churches, clubs and schools. Hand them out at an activity session or put them in a newsletter. There's nothing to pay and no need to ask. Please leave the web address at the bottom of each page, and don't sell the puzzles.
Questions
How do I solve a cryptogram?
Each letter stands for a different one, the same way all through the puzzle. Start with the two given letters, then look at short words: a one-letter word is usually A or I, and THE and AND are the commonest three-letter words.
Where do the quotations come from?
From books in the public domain. We check every quotation word for word against a published copy. They're the same puzzles as our Cryptogram, which you can also play on screen.
